Historical & Scriptural Significance
Goddess Lakshmi (Shri) is the embodiment of all forms of wealth — material (Dhana Lakshmi), courage (Dhairya Lakshmi), knowledge (Vidya Lakshmi), food (Dhanya Lakshmi), offspring (Santana Lakshmi), victory (Vijaya Lakshmi), power (Gaja Lakshmi), and spiritual wealth (Adi Lakshmi). She emerged from the cosmic ocean during Samudra Manthan. As Vishnu’s consort, she dwells wherever Vishnu dwells — prosperity follows wherever righteousness prevails.
